Sick Birthday Girl....

Good evening! Well, we are in disbelief today after going back to the Dr. to hear that MK now has what's called Bronchiolitis. The virus(Rotavirus that we had last week) moved into her Bronchi and caused this infection. She had another ear infection in the right ear again the same ear as in Nov. (that was inevitable the Dr. said) therefore we are headed to an Atlanta Ear nose and throat Dr. on Jan 6th to discuss PE tubes. Praise God her chest x-ray was negative though and she was tested for RSV and that was negative as well. She has to get a series of shots in her legs 2 today, 1 Friday and 1 Saturday. They gave her a breathing treatment today and sent us home with device like an inhaler. We were really hoping she would be well for bday tomorrow. Please just remember her little self in your prayers tonight.
Merry Christmas!!!

and it's not even Christmas yet.....

MK had a really good day today!!! She ate for the first time in a week. She had chicken noodle soup, applesauce, and oatmeal. She is playing good and feeling so much better. Praise GOD! Well, as you know we had to cancel her party but the presents still arrived from the Grandparents. She got an adorable kitchen from RL's parents, a little tikes playhouse from her Papa Lloyd and a really sweet table and chairs from Gigi and Ppop. It took a long time to put them together but she really had fun playing today. It looks like it's Christmas and it's just Birthday! :0 That's ok you're only 2 once. We are looking forward to this Friday when she 's all well and the 3 of us can celebrate our angel turning 2. Hope everyone has a great week!

no need for "RotaRooter"

well, not sure how to describe this week... other than our pipes have been unclogged.
It all started Monday night at 11:30 when I went to check on MK like I always do before I lay down and when I walked into her room she sat up and said "mommy me choke". I turned on the light... that's when I realized she was sick Then an hour later Ritchie got sick too. She vomited 10 times over the 30 hours. It was horrible. We had to make a trip to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital early Wed morning around 5 and then the other the big "D" began and is still here. The Rota virus landed at the Halls. YUCK! I got it Thursday and it was just as bad as Rdog and MK made it out to be. She did eat some apple sauce and part of a banana today so I hope she feels like herself soon. She is staying hydrated. Thank God! That can be the really scary part with this terrible virus. She loves water and is tolerating the Gatorade suggested by the Doc. Please pray for to continue to get better. RLH and I are feeling better. She is the one who is suffering the most! Unfortunately we had to cancel her Curious George Bday Party and family gathering. All of mine and RL's fam were coming over. Oh well we will celebrate it... just the 3 of us next Friday on her real Bday. Hope everyone remains healthy this holiday season and Remember....
JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

so thankful

Whewww.... we're back! I am so thankful for food, friends, family and MY HOME! I am so glad to be home. I thought it was because I was getting old, but MK was just as happy to be back in her bed playing with all her toys. We had a great time with all the grandparents and cousins and friends. One funny memory I will never forget from Thanksgiving 2008 is MK telling everyone the turkey says "boggle boggle" Ha! :) I am so excited about Christmas. We went to Petit Christmas Tree Farm. They had an awesome drive thru Christmas Light Show and live animals. MK loved it. We got a 9ft Frazier Fur and will be decorating it today. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I wish everyone a Happy December. I have posted some pictures from our trip to Mississippi.
Please don't forget the true meaning of Christmas......Luke 2:7-14

busy as a bee....

sorry, that it's been so long since I have posted any news. I have been really busy this month unpacking, decorating, and cleaning our new house. We are almost finished painting. Ritchie has worked his booty off! (excuse my french) well derriere is actually the french word. We are getting ready to go home for Thanksgiving and really looking forward to seeing family and friends while we are in Mississippi. I had a baby shower today for a friend at my house today and we all had a nice time and Baby Kaleb has really been blessed with lots of nice things. It was hard, but I just had to get him this really cute Tennessee Orange track suit. Ritchie kept asking whose "ugly thing" that was hanging in MK's closet. Lorinda loved it and that's all that matters. :) It's really cold here and all the leaves have fallen, feels like winter instead of fall. MK is talking up a storm and her new words are hey guys, I keep telling her we are from the south and she needs to say hey yall! Ha! She has entered the terrible twos, so pray for us as parents that we make all the right decisions as far as disciplining goes. I hope "yall" have a great thanksgiving.
This year I am very thankful for my health , new home , and my wonderful husband and daughter.
till next time....

Intercessory Prayer...

Praise God! My mom had a scare last week when she found a lump in her breast, they did an ultrasound, mammogram and needle biopsy and the results came back today and it is BENIGN. I am so thankful for all of your prayers and calls. Intercessory prayer is so important. This Thanksgiving season I am very thankful for Family and Health. Please be in prayer for my Step dad this month, he will be undergoing neck surgery. He has degenerative vertebrae in his neck and has been in alot of pain lately. On a lighter note, I guess pray for me and my sister as we prepare the turkey day feast since my mom will be at hospital taking care of Jimmy. I hope all of you have a Happy November and remember God is Good All the time!!!!
Love in Christ,

wow....

Wow, what an awesome service this morning and evening at church.... GOD spoke so clearly today!!! This morning our pastor preached from II Peter 3 ---THE PROMISE HE IS COMING! and he reminded us again to be ready 3:10 "But the day of the LORD will come like a thief 3:8-9 " But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the LORD a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understands slowness. He is patient with you , not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Like I said, WOW! GOD is Good!
We had an awesome weekend with our friends and family in Christ!
Praise God for our Pastor! I am so thankful for TBC.
Last night we went bowling with some friends from church and had the best time! I did not bowl well at all but had fun anyway, but I think the girls beat the guys and that's all that matters. We made some funny memories and can't wait till our next outing
Oh before I forget about Veteran's Day , thanks to all those veterans and active men who fought and still fighting for our Freedom.
Have a great week!

Thank you GOD!

One of the many things I have been blessed with and give thanks to GOD for is friends! We spent Friday with our best friends who were visiting from Hernando, MS. We met them 8 years ago in Meridian, MS at my home church where CDP was called to Preach. Thank GOD!!!! I remember meeting TRP like it was yesterday. She was sitting all alone on an old pew in the prayer room which was our Sunday school room at the time wearing a khaki linen dress (pretty sure) and I just went over to her and started talking. We hit it off from the start and our husbands did too. They both love to cut up (all the time) and both have made the best Daddies . We are about 7 hrs away from each other but closer than ever. The best part of our friendship is watching our children play with each other. Our 3 little miracles (I call them). Their parents came along for the visit as well and they mean so much to me and Ritchie. Great Godly folks. I have posted some pics from our dinner tonight. Remember to thank GOD for those people HE sends your way.... Good night
oh and Happy Birthday TRP!

trick or treat....

MK loved saying "tick o teat" all night. First we trick or treated at Annie and M's house and then we headed to the church for our Fall Festival. We rode the choo choo train and played games and got some more candy. She had fun seeing all her friends dressed up and if I say so myself she was the cutest bumble bee there :). Next we went to some friends for supper. We had a great Halloween and have some great pictures to prove it. Hope all you kids out there had a blast tonight. Now its time for Thanksgiving. I just love the FALL!!! Till next time....

Great Pumpkin

I was so excited yesterday when I found out that an oldie but a goodie was coming on TV last night. I kept MK up past her normal bedtime just to watch and made sure to DVR it. We sat down and I told her we were going to watch snoopy. She seemed excited and watched it very closely as she does everything. Very into TV right now! Most kids are I think. But when they got to the part where Schroeder was playing the piano at the end and Snoopy was snapping and marching to the upbeat music and then Schroeder change moods and started playing a more solemn tune and snoopy began to cry and cry and then weep. MK just teared and BOO HOOED for about 10 min and kept saying "dog cry" while tears ran down her face. I never remember thinking Charlie Brown was that intense. But she did. So that's it for the Charles Shultz cartoons until she's in the double digits. Just had to share this emotional story. MK is really growing up. Talks nonstop and her speech and language are just amazing. I know I am a Speech Therapist and bias; but she does and says some pretty impressive things for a 22 month old. Have a great rest of the week and I will post on Friday after the fall festival.
Happy Halloween!!!!

we are in....

Well, we are in the new house! Moving Day was yesterday and thanks goes out to all the strong guys who helped Rdog move the furniture. We really appreciate all of you guys!!!! Thanks to Nana Hall as well, she really did alot this past week. My windows and floors are shining and MK had a great time with her. She really likes her drum, horn , and desk. We miss you and Papaw already and thanks for the Steaks! Today was an awesome day, we decided to take a break from the house today after church we took a 2 hr nap and a went on long awaited hike with the Carpenters including Baby Anna Kate. She was a trooper all snuggled in next to her Daddy and MK was too riding on Rdog's back. We hiked 3 miles at Altoona Lake. It was a perfect Fall day, all of the leaves were such vibrant colors and the temp was perfect. We had a great time! Afterwards, Ritchie got to show off his grilling abilities on his new grill. We have waited to grill some meat for 1 yr now. We did not get to while living at the apt. But it was well worth the wait. YUM YUM! MK and Rdog got to meet Anna Kate tonight and MK was such a good girl with her she was very gentle. Can't wait to see them running around the back yard next Fall. Need to hit the hay.... I will post some pics of our hike down below

I've been tagged....

I have been tagged by Kathy Storm...
The rules are: share 7 random/weird facts about yourself and tag 7 random people
Here it goes..... oh by the way try not to laugh to hard

1. I received an "I" in 3rd grade in Reading. My cousin Marc still jawns on me for that and doesn't understand how I got my degree from USM with that on my record. But I don't remember why I received a mark for incomplete that year. Oh well. My reading abilities are pretty normal now. :)
2. I kissed Ritchie first. I know, pretty forward huh, but couldn't resist. We will celebrate our first kiss this coming Dec. It has been 14 years. Sure am glad I was a rebel that night.
3. I talk to my grandmother probably 5 times a week every week for the past 15 years. She will be 92 next month and is healthy as horse. I love her dearly.
4. Doesn't watch TV anymore. Except sometimes on vacation or During American Idol Season.
5. Wanted to be a pharmacist before deciding to work with children with special needs.
6. Won a ribbon at a P.E. meet one year in middle school for the distant jumping event. HA!
7. Was 1st runner up and won Physical Fitness and Beauty/Presence and Composure in Meridian, MS Junior Miss in 1992.

I have tagged TRP, LORI WEB, MISS ABBY, HONEY Simpkins, Lindsey, Miss Henry, and Bridge

what a great time had by all....

well we survived the fast and furious weekend in Mississippi. We got to visit with Papa Lloyd and my sister and her family and mk's great-grandparents. We were able to fit in a short visit with Aunt Sandra and Miss Abby. MK really had fun!!! She put on a show for Abby and Sandra. We celebrated my niece Jordan's 2nd bday at the pumpkin patch. It was so much fun. MK got to paint a pumpkin, ride the train, go on her 1st hayride, and eat a lot of sugar!!! She had a blast! Her favorite part of the whole weekend besides playing with her cousins of course was riding Papa's Buggie. She and Papa and RLH went off road in the Bad Boy Buggie!!! :) MK is such a tomboy! she loves to be outside getting dirty. UNfortunately we did not get to see Gigi and Ppop they were both very sick with flu-like symptoms. We missed them both. Hope yall feel better soon.

We are back home now and painting and unpacking. Nana Hall is here this week to help out. She and I got a lot done today. Thanks Nana and thanks Papaw for letting her leave you for a week to come to GA. She is a lot of help.

Hope everyone is having a great Fall! We are! I need to go to bed now it is after midnight here. I have a lot to do in the new house again tomorrow. I posted some photos from this past weekend Enjoy~

headed West...

Well, we are headed west tomorrow to Mississippi. We are so excited about visiting with all of MK's grandparents and some close friends who we haven't seen in awhile and my two special nieces Jordan and Jillian. Oh I can't wait to give them the biggest hugs and kisses. We will be going to the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday for Jordan's 2nd bday. MK is going to love it; especially the hay and train ride. My grandparents will be there and our God children whom we dearly miss. It will be a fast and furious trip as always, but that's what happens when you live 4.5 hrs away and only 3 days to see everybody you love. We will be back Monday evening. Please keep us in your prayers. Can't wait to share all of the wonderful memories we make over the weekend through words and pictures when we return home. Hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll post on Tuesday.

I just love surprises!

I got a phone call today from a friend that I've known about 7 yrs whom I met in Meridian. She and her husband and girls have always had a special place in our hearts. We ended up meeting for dinner near Atlanta and had great food and fellowship. Her girls were all grown up and so pretty. MK loved playing with them as well. Friends in Christ never change and the reunions are always awesome. GOD is good! I praise Him for such neat people like the Pattersons. I've shared a few pics from our night out.

a successful day....

whew.... I am so pooped, but got lots accomplished. Ritchie is still painting away and I unpacked tons of boxes, cleaned bathrooms, cabinets, etc. Got my kitchen 90% finished and MK's room 90% finished. The colors we chose are looking good. RLH is the best painter. Thanks to him, it's looking like "home". Love you Rdog.
MK is adjusting well as usual. She is feeling so much better, almost back to normal, no more blisters as of today and eating and drinking normally again. Praise God for my healthy girl! We are spending our first night in our new home tonight. WOO HOO! Still no furniture, just beds. We couldn't wait any longer! TV, Beds, Food, is all you need when you're camping out. HA!
I can't express to you just how happy we are to finally have a house! MK , Bella, and I played in the yard today and it was just perfect. Everything I imagined it would be when I was dreaming about playing with my girl when she was a busy toddler running around everywhere. She and Bella chased crickets and MK threw rocks as she shouted "catch BEBBA catch". Ha! :)
It was great! Headed to church in the morning by myself, RLH is staying home with MK one more Sunday just to make sure we aren't contagious anymore. Need to get in bed....will post some pics soon

a song for our little girl....

I was working hard today, planning MK's 2nd bday party , ordering invitations and Bday DVD and came across this song and plugged it into my playlist and had to share the lyrics with all you mommies and daddies out there who have been blessed by our Gracious God to be parents. I pray for those out there too that are desiring and praying for children. May God Bless Your Family. Scroll down and listen as you read the lyrics. Enjoy. Love in Christ , Kelly
"I was never alive Until the day I was blessed with you When I hold you late at nightI know what I was put here to do I turn off the world And listen to you sigh And I will sing my angel's lullaby Know I'm forever near The one you can always call Right now all you know to fear Are the shadows on your wall And I'm here close enough To kiss the tears you cry And I will sing my angel's lullaby So tell me how to stop the years from racing Is there a secret someone knowsI'll never catch all the memories I'm chasing I'll never be ready to let go And when the world seems cold You feel that all of your strength is gone There may be one tiny voice Your reason to carry on And when I'm not close enoughTo kiss the tears you cry You will sing your angel's lullaby Let this be our angel's lullaby"

Just had to shout it from the roof top....

MK slept 11 hrs (12 hrs is pretty normal for her) in her own bed and woke up with a smile and asking for milk and something to eat. Hasn't felt like eating with all these blisters in her mouth and on her throat. They are drying up on her lips and bottom. Thank You God!!!!
Just had to tell you how happy and relieved we are here in the Hall Household. Thanks for all those prayers for my angel.

Totally Exhausted....

Sorry I haven't posted any news or pics lately. I am exhausted. Monday we closed on our house woo hoo! Ritchie has moved a pretty good bit over to the new house. He has 2 rooms painted MK's and the kitchen/breakfast room. He will paint halls and living room this week. I haven't been much help at all because MK has been sick since Wednesday. She has Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease. It showed up on Wednesday, takes about 3 days to show up so we must of contracted it from playing in the church nursery??? Who really knows , but weren't around any children the week before or since???

For those of you not familiar with the terrible childhood sickness; here is a brief description from the CDC.
Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common viral illness of infants and children. The disease causes fever and blister-like eruptions in the mouth and/or a skin rash
The disease usually begins with a fever, poor appetite, malaise (feeling vaguely unwell), and often with a sore throat.
One or 2 days after fever onset, painful sores usually develop in the mouth. They begin as small red spots that blister and then often become ulcers. The sores are usually located on the tongue, gums, and inside of the cheeks.
A non-itchy skin rash develops over 1–2 days. The rash has flat or raised red spots, sometimes with blisters. The rash is usually located on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet; it may also appear on the buttocks and/or genitalia.
A person with HFMD may have only the rash or only the mouth sores.
Infection is spread from person to person by direct contact with infectious virus. Infectious virus is found in the nose and throat secretions, saliva, blister fluid, and stool of infected persons. The virus is most often spread by persons with unwashed, virus-contaminated hands and by contact with virus-contaminated surfaces.
Infected persons are most contagious during the first week of the illness.
The viruses that cause HFMD can remain in the body for weeks after a patient's symptoms have gone away. This means that the infected person can still pass the infection to other people even though he/she appears well. Also, some persons who are infected and excreting the virus, including most adults, may have no symptoms.

HFMD is not transmitted to or from pets or other animals.
AND THE WORST PART OF IT IS:
There is no specific treatment for HFMD.

Symptoms can be treated to provide relief from pain from mouth sores and from fever and aches:

Fever can be treated with antipyretics (drugs that reduce fevers).

Pain can be treated with acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or other over-the-counter pain relievers.

Mouthwashes or sprays that numb pain can be used to lessen mouth pain.

Fluid intake should be enough to prevent dehydration (lack of body fluids). If moderate-to-severe dehydration develops, it can be treated medically by giving fluids through the veins.

OK
Enough Biology but you gotta admit that was interesting. Needless to say MK was in alot of pain (her bottom, throat, lips and especially sides of her mouth) she would say" mommy mommy my teef hurt"
My heart has never hurt so bad this week not being able to really help my angel.
She ran 101-103 fever for 3 days Saturday was the first day with no fever and she did not sleep well at all or in her own bed since Wednesday either. Today she finally slept, she took at 3.5 hour nap at 9 this morning and she is now been asleep in her own bed for 30 minutes now! PRAISE GOD! I am going to sleep so much better tonight not having her on top of me and not having to worry so much either. It is so exhausting having a sick child. I am going to thank GOD every night here on out for blessing Ritchie and I with a healthy child. I know we take so much for granted. I can't imagine the hardships some parents must go through; I pray that GOD will grant those Parents strength.
We spent all weekend during the day at our new house while RLH painted. We watched movies and played some outside when she felt like it. I will post some pics below .
Happy October Everyone! We put up a scarecrow in the yard this weekend and hope to buy a pumpkin this week. Have a great week everyone and I will be back sooner this week.
Love, Kelly

It's official...

We are now the proud owners of a house again. I guess we are officially Georgians now! We closed this morning and Ritchie and my uncle Jimmy are moving our stuff from storage today. I am going to get the power, gas, etc turned over in our name this afternoon. We will move a little every week. Ritchie will paint a few rooms starting Sunday when we get back from Stone Mountain. Looking forward to that as well. Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know the Good news. I will be sending out our new address asap. Praise God! We are so happy! Oh if you can listen to "Days of Elijah" on my playlist while reading this. God Is So Good! It just excites me to hear the words of that song.

Fun at the Fair

We had a great time at the fair. We saw the biggest cow ever and MK loved feeding the camel and petting the goats. MK rode the cars, Carousel, Nemo, and we rode the rocking Tug Boat. She had so much fun. We pigged out on all the "fair food" and MK ate her first caramel apple with Daddy and Funnel Cake with Mommy. Lots of sugar, germs, and fun at the fair. Woo Hoo! Sure am glad it only comes once a year. Ha! We only stayed for some of the Mark Shultz concert, but it was good what we saw. MK was getting tired and she fell asleep right after we left the parking lot. Check out the pictures below from our trip to the fair. Nite nite....

What a week!

Well, I am still alive! Been a wild week. God sure showed up this past week in my life. First on Friday, Sept 19th MK turned 21 months old and my dear friends Amy and Josh welcomed their new baby girl Anna Kate into the world that night. She weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19.9" long and very healthy and just so pretty. Mommy and baby are both fine and I got to spend some time with them on Sunday after church. It was so awesome to witness such a miracle of life. God Is So Awesome! What made it so awesome was when my dear friend said how humbled she was by the whole experience of becoming a mother, those were my exact words on Dec 19 2006. How could anyone deserve such a miracle? Only God could create such feelings. God's peace and sovereignty was so present this past weekend during a Ladies Retreat with my church. We went to Pine Mtn. , GA and toured Calloway Gardens and I got to fellowship with so many new Godly women and made some new friends. Once again, God is So Awesome! Then Sunday-Tues night we had revival and God sent some Great Pastors to help revive our souls. It was Awesome! Henry Blackaby spoke one night on how to Experience God and just how desperately WE need a revival. My mom came over Sunday and left this morning. MK had so much fun with her GIGI and of course she spoiled her with too many "PRIZES" as MK calls them. Thanks Gigi for driving and loving MK so much. We love you too! We packed up a few rooms and we close on Monday. We are looking forward to getting moved in our new house. We will officially be out of apt Oct 25. Woo Hoo! We will paint some rooms and move a little each week so that the Big Moving Day won't be too bad on Ritchie and some of our friends who are so kind to help us. I told you it has been a wild week. We are headed to the North Georgia State Fair on Friday. I cannot wait to watch MK experience the "fair". The rides, food, and music. Mark Shultz will be in concert! Saturday we will pack some but mostly watch Football. Hope everyone had a great September. Happy Fall! My favorite time of the year, Football, Foliage, and Cool weather. Have a great weekend.
Till next time.....

Me and my toddler....

They say laughter keeps you young, well I am going to be young for awhile. MK is such a HOOT Yall! That is all I can say. Ritchie and I talk everynight about her and just laugh about what she did or said earlier that day. I mean she is just too smart. Just let me share some of her latest sillies....
Early one morning, we were coming back from the bank and going up the "mountain" to our apt. and MK started saying "kunk" "kunk" and I looked around for a dead skunk on the road and didn't see one and looked at her in the rv mirror and she was pointing up ahead of us to the mountain and where there was a thick fog and holding her nose. She thought it was a Skunk's cloud of stink because one day on Curious George, there was a skunk who sprayed and they showed this big cloud of stink and CG held his nose and said pew wee skunk. Oh my I thought I was going to wreck laughing soooo hard. Just today she was chasing Bella b/c Bella had her dress up tutu and saying no no Bebba no no and they ran around for about 5 minutes and then Bella gave in or maybe MK gave up! Who knows? But she just cracks me up. She has such a large vocab and all the expressions to go with it. She is like a little sponge! She was pretending to cook today and said "cake" and I ask her are you baking a cake and she said quickly "NO, Annie me cake". By the way, she doesn't forget anything b/c my Aunt Ann brought Ritchie over a Bday cake almost 3 weeks ago. So I let her call her today and she said "Hey Annie Cake Please". What a hoot! Anyway , I just had to share some of the greatest moments of being MK 's mommy. Here is photo of MK being silly!
Have a great rest of the week!

Ready to be homeowners again....

We have a contract on a house. We close on Sept 29th. It was so worth the wait and glad we held out for this one. More room inside and out. MK and Bella are just going to love the yard and screened in porch. She will have a great playroom. Hope Santa is ready to fill it though. We will move the entire month of October; our lease runs up Oct 31st. Woo Hoo! Perfect Timing. Praise God. Thanks to HIM all things work out in such an orderly fashion.
I will post some pics of the exterior for now. Have a great week.
Oh by the way it is FINALLY raining here in GA! We need it everyone is sneezing, dripping, coughing etc. the ragweed is just horrific. Thanks God for the rain !
Till next time....

Sugar and Spice ....

Sugar and Spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of. Anna Kate is on her way and she will made of all that.
Children are a gift from God and so are my new group of friends. My friends from Sunday School and I helped shower Amy Carpernter today. We can't wait for the arrival of Anna Kate. Only a few more weeks. Amy and Josh received so many nice things. As Josh says all we need now is the baby. The brunch was delicious and Thank you Crystal for allowing us to have it at your beautiful home. Everyone had a great time especially the mommy to be. I can't wait to share some of MK's stuff with Anna Kate and this time next year, the 2 little girls will be sporting their cheerleader uniforms screaming" Go Dawgs! Sick Em, Woof, Woof" and Anna Kate may have to say Go Eagles as well sometimes when GA is not playing. Here are some pics from the shower....
Have a great weekend!

Panama City Beach!!!!

Well we are safe and sound back at home....Praise GOD!
We are so grateful for safe travel, beautiful weather, and an awesome vacation to the beach.
Thank you God for keeping our friends in Baton Rouge and Family on the Miss Gulf Coast Safe as well! Please pray for all those who have lost their homes throughout Louisiana.
We had a great time in PCB. We discovered this awesome place Pier Park. We visited there every night enjoying all the great restaurants, shops, desserts (KILBINS'S ICE CREAM ROCKS!) and of course the Choo Choo Train( MK's favorite part of the trip). We enjoyed spending time with our close friends the Paces and Hawkins. We miss them already.
MK loved swimming and building sandcastles in the sand. She slept in a big bed for the first time and every morning she would come in our room so cute with her arms folded ready get in our bed and snuggle. It was such a sweet time!!! She loved having breakfast every morning on the balcony and pressing the buttons on the elevators. It sure is funny watching her getting excited about the smallest things. She really loved chasing the birds on the beach and running from the ocean as the waves rolled in; she would say" ooh ooh the beach get me" and run and laugh. Just as in the past my favorite part of our beach vacations is to sit on the sand in awe of God's Creation. I did that this time while watching my little miracle experience it with me. I took boocoodles of photos-take a day and look at all the memories we made. Ha!
I am needing to go to bed now so I can rise early walk, unpack, and do laundry.
Back to reality...
We had a great time and it is good to be home too!

Happy 37th Birthday Ritchie!

Happy Birthday RLH! I don't think you have really changed much from the picture I posted. MK is such your child especially when she gives me that look. I know TRP and GGR are just cracking up at the photo. Because they just love it when you give them that "look". HA!
Hope you had a nice day! Papaw and Nana Hall came to GA and we went to Carter's Lake and Coconuts for IceCream. MK had lots of fun playing with them. We really enjoyed their visit. Thanks for all of MK's Happies you brought her.
Hope everyone has a nice week, and enjoy the last week of summer :(
We are headed to Panama City Beach for Labor Day to play with Paces! Can't wait!
Try not to laugh too hard at the bday picture I posted of Rdog. There is also a slideshow of our visit with Nana &Papaw.

Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 9th Anniversary on August 14th. We both agree it seems like we've been together much longer! Well; we really have, we started dating in Dec. 1994 and got engaged on our 4 yr dating anniversary. You can definitely say it has been an adventure. We are still together! Ha! We have had some wonderful and tough years along the way, but we got through them only by the Grace and Strength from GOD! We have lived in 3 different cities, 2 different states and 2 different apts., 2 diff homes and about to buy our 3rd. We are raising our daughter whom we cherish so much and prayed for for so many yrs . GOD is Good.... all the time! We have grown so much together both spiritually and mentally and unfortunately physically, Ha!( we are working on that). We truly love each other and could not imagine our lives without each other. I can't wait to experience 9 more yrs with you, Ritchie. Thanks for always being there for me and for making such a great Daddy. Happy Anniversary RLH! You will always be my HB ( private joke)

Great times, great friends, AWESOME GOD

Praise God! He blessed us with another wonderful day of having the freedom to worship HIM, Sing Praises to HIM, and learn more about HIS ways for us. After a great morning we had lunch with our SS class at Ruby Tuesday's and enjoyed good food and fellowship. By the way, all the kids were just perfect which made our fellowship that much more enjoyable. Soon thereafter, we all napped for an hour or two. We just love those long Sunday afternoon naps. Then we spent the rest of the day enjoying our new friends in Christ, the Carpenters. JC took Ritchie up for a plane ride from the Cartersville airport in a Skyhawk single engine Cessna 172. MK and I watched him take off and land. She thought it was sooooo much fun to see all the planes and watch her Daddy wave bye bye. Once the boys came back, we went out to the riverwalk and exercised and had a wonderful evening sharing stories from our pasts. We are so thankful to God for our precious daughter, our new church home, and all the friends HE has sent our way through the years and even now.
Have a great night and I hope you all have a wonderful week. I have posted some photos from our great Sunday in C'ville.

another wonderful Saturday

We had another great Saturday. Went walking at the river with Amy; such great talks and exercise! Then later RL and MK and I went hiking up Pine Mountain. It was Awesome. Walked up 1672 ft Elevation and hiked a total of 2 miles; lots of rocks and hills. It was really pretty at the top( the Summit) we could see most of Bartow County. We hope to do it again soon. After napping we went out to the Pizza Farm with the Eubanks. MK and HC were matchy matchy so you guessed it I took pictures and they turned out to be so cute. Check them out....
Have a great night.

A Story From Daddy....

Here's a little story for ya,

Earlier tonight, I was in the process of cleaning Mia Katheryn's high chair and she came over and wanted to sit at the dining room table. Then she asked me (in her own special way) to bring her baby, which was lying on the floor just a few feet away, over to her. After that, she tells me that she wants to feed her baby, so I get one of her little plastic bowls and spoon, hand them to her and she places them on the table. Now, I'm expecting her to begin pretending to feed her baby, then offer me a bite of the imaginary food just the way she has done many times before but not this time; instead, she sits back in the chair, places her palms together and looks at me to say the blessing!

Needless to say, I was very proud and that moment also reminded me of how much they are listening and watching!

P.S. She poo-pooed in the "big potty" for the second day in a row....

another summer day...

Well just like the song says "another summer day has come and gone away" that's how I am feeling tonight. Isn't Michael Buble the greatest singer!!! This summer has flown by. Back to school supplies were out today in Target. I felt so sorry for all the kids when I saw them. It is way too hot to start back to school!!!! I can't believe my niece JRL will be starting Public Kindergarten in two weeks. Just the other day she was crying in the hospital that February 5 yrs ago. I miss her sweet face sooooo much. We will see her and baby Jordan in a few weeks though at the beach. We are going camping on the Emerald Coast. My dad has an RV and we are all going for a long weekend. Went walking tonight with a new friend CW a Mississippi girl who has been in C'ville around 10 yrs. She and her husband adore MK so much and MK is pretty fond of them as well. We are counting down the days until the house is ours. We will start packing soon. Ugghhh , but that is all part of it. Well that's all for tonight. Gotta go do some laundry....

Friends Forever

It was a great Bday. GGR and her Cajun crew came over and stayed a week with us. We swam, picnicked, shopped, and played. They went to Stone Mtn. and had a wet adventure at White Water. I already miss her. She has been my best friend for a lifetime it seems; going on 18yrs. Her girls and husband are wonderful. So glad she met JP but no offense just wish he would have been from Miss so we would be closer in miles. But you know what the poets say, distance makes the heart grow fonder. Love ya GGR! I know it is GRL but like saying the other better HA! I have posted a slide show of our week. Enjoy!

Nice visit...

We had a great week! First Gigi came over on Sunday. We went to the park, swam, played and went out to eat. Rlh and I had a Bday date at a great little restaurant towards Atlanta and then Friday (my 33rd Bday) Gina and her family came over. And to top off the week. Gina and I saw Leeann Rimes, Gary Allen, Brooks and Dunn and KENNY CHESNEY in concert last night at Turner Field in Atlanta. WOO HOO!!! It was sooo much fun. It rained but not the whole time. It was the greatest concert I have ever attended.(even better the NKOTB) HA! Just kidding... It made me feel alot younger than 33. Great Bday present. Well our friends are still here so I will post some more later in the week. Enjoy some pics from last week with Gigi.

Fourth of July 2008

Wheewwww!Boy, are we exhausted! We had a jam packed weekend of fun, swimming, parades, concerts, dancing, and fireworks. MK had a blast. She is so not shy; as you will see as you watch some of the video clips I have posted. We celebrated our freedom with friends from church on Friday and watched the C'ville fireworks show that evening. Saturday we went downtown to the Motown "NEON's Concert" where MK danced the night away.... I don't think she realizes she is a Baptist yet. HA! :)
We all had a big time. And to top off the weekend Gigi came a day early and surprised us last night about 7ish. She drove all the way without stopping after church yesterday to see us. Well probably to see her "GIRL" MK. But I like to pretend RLH and I are still imp to some people. HA! Have a great week!

Family time....

We had a great time visiting our relatives from Mississippi that came to Cville this week. Thanks for all the veggies and desserts. I will have to walk an extra mile Thursday. Oh well it will be worth it. I am so glad MK got to spend so much time with her Great Grandparents this summer what an awesome blessing. She also can say Mamaw and Papaw really well. Families are such wonderful gifts from God. It is such a good feeling to know that so many members of my family will one day be in Heaven and then we'll never ever be apart. What a comforting thought....
MK got to eat her first home grown veggies and fruits. Yum, Yum! I have shared a slideshow towards the bottom of page with some of my favorite photos from the week. Enjoy....

Mia Katheryn turns 1 .5

Mia Katheryn turned 18 months old on June 20Th! We went to the Dr. today. She has two bobo's b/c she got 2 shots today. But she got a curious George sticker and that made it all better. She passed all the cognitive tests, etc. Told ya she was a smarty. Should have 10 words including mommy and daddy and MK has about 20....
mommy, daddy, bel for Bella, face, nose, eye, ear, hair, hat, teeth, bubble, bath, ball, kitty, nite nite, bye bye, no, eat, egg, ok, baby, jay jay( the jet Plane), bear, keys, and she can say about 21 of her sounds all phonetically correct of course (ya know her mommy is a Speech Therapist) but anyway just wanted to share just how she is growing up. She weighs 25 lbs and is in the 75% in weight and 95% in Height. She is truly becoming a toddler. Very picky with food now and loves to say NO for any reason what so ever!!!!!! I am missing those infant days.. JK I am loving every new moment and experience of being a mommy. She can be very strong willed most of the time; therefore lots of consistent disciplining is going on. UGGHHHH Hate it but gotta do it! Pray for me as a Mommy. I just hope I am doing what God would want me to do.
We hope everyone has a HAPPY JULY 4TH!!!!! Enjoy the time off with your loved ones and remember all those men and women fighting for our freedom.

God Bless America!

Trip to Mississippi....

WHEW... boy did we have fun visiting all of our family in good ole MS. We are exhausted and glad to be back home with RL. MK had so much fun playing in her own pool that papa made her out of a Tube and she fell asleep while Papa was driving us around on his Bad Boy Buggy( one of his many toys) Thanks Papa for coming over to GA and for my new baby stroller, we had a nice visit. While at Papa's we got to see my grandparents. That was a treat ! They are so special to me! Next we went to Gigi and P-pops house and swam and played and MK got to feed the kitty , Dixie the dog, and see some horses. She had a blast! We had lots of fun swimming with Jordan and Aunt Jessica too. We sure did miss seeing Jilly though she was at the beach. Finally we visited with Nana and Papaw! Thanks for my new pool toy and baby buggy. We had a good time at the park showing them what a big girl MK has grown up to be.
We were also so blessed to visit with some friends while we were there. It was good to see A and A Carle. We also got to go to the country to visit with the Pace's and The Hawkins.
Thanks for the Catfish!!! That was a treat. We had so much fun laughing, eating and watching our 3 little miracles play with each other. PRAISE GOD FOR CHILDREN! That was a wish come true for me and TRP. Check out some of my fav pics below from our trip.
Well back to reality and laundry....

Happy Father's Day!

A special Father is gift from God.... this message is to RLH . I am wishing you a Father's Day filled with all the wonderful blessings you deserve for being such a special Father to our little miracle. You haven't surprised by being such a loving, attentive, playful Daddy but I am sooo happy and blessed and MK is so blessed to have you as her Daddy. Dahh as she would say. MK wants to let you know RL that most little girls think their daddies are much nicer than the rest But she knows something they don't know... Her Daddy is the BEST!!!! He plays football in the bathtub with me, blows bubbles with me every day on the balcony, and my favorite thing about him is that he loves Jesus and helps me say prayers every night. I am tearing up as I write this. Oh I hope MK knows just what a good Daddy he is and always wanted to be.
Now a message for my Dad.... Dad you are great! I love all the memories of me and you driving back from GA as a teenager and listening to all my silly pop music and me telling you about all the boys I had met while there in Cville. Those were some awesome drives. Thanks for always being there for me. Thanks for showing me just how important family is. Family comes First, you always say and I think that is why I am so close your sisters and Mamaw. I love you Dad and hope you have a great Father's Day.
One more note goes out to my Stepdad. Thanks for taking care of my mom and for all you do and have done for me and my family. I love you JPH.
I DO know Someone who is the PERFECT Father--God Himself, our Heavenly Father. He meets every qualification for the task--listen to His words and see!"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...(1 John 3:1 KJV)."

WHEN GOD MADE FATHERS.
When the good Lord was creating Fathers, He started with a tall frame. An angel nearby said, "What kind of a Father is that? If you're going to make children so close to the ground, why have you put the Father up so high? He won't be able to shoot marbles without kneeling, play pretend drinking tea, and kiss dolly goodnight, tuck a child in bed without bending, or even kiss a child without stooping?" God smiled and said, "Yes, but if I make him child size, who would children have to look up to?"And when God made a Father's hands, they were large. The angel said, "Large hands can't manage diaper pins, small buttons, rubber bands on pony tails, or even remove splinters caused from baseball bats." Again God smiled and said, "I know, but they're large enough to hold everything a small boy empties from his pockets and a little girls paper dolls and jump rope, and to teach her to turn cartwheels, yet small enough to cup a child's face in them."Then God molded long slim legs and broad shoulders, "Do you realize you just made a Father without a lap?" the angel chuckled. God said, "A Mother needs a lap. A Father needs strong shoulders to pull a wagon, to balance a bicycle, or to hold a sleepy head on the way home from the circus."When God was in the middle of creating the biggest body any one had ever seen, the angel said, "That's not fair. Do you honestly think that form is going to get out of bed early in the morning when the baby cries, or walk through a birthday party without crushing one or two of the guests?" God again smiled and said, "It will work. You will see. It will support a small child who wants to ride to Banbury Cross or scare mice away from a summer cabin , or walk in shoes that will be a challenge to fill."God worked throughout the night, giving the Father few words, but a firm authoritative voice; eyes that see everything, but remain calm and tolerant. Finally, almost as an afterthought, He added tears. Then he turned to the angel and said, "Now are you satisfied he can love as much as a Mother can?" The angel said nothing more.~~By Erma Bombeck.~~

Happy Father's Day to everyone out there who has been blessed with the responsibility to teach a child about our wonderful loving, Merciful, Father in Heaven.

Hard Hat....

Oh what fun MK had this afternoon when her Daddy brought her home a surprise from work. He brought her a Teng Hard Hat and she loved it and played and played and played. We laughed hard at her she can be sooooo silly sometimes. Oh the simple things in life. Who needs a Santa Claus when you have a great daddy like RLH. I posted a some snapshots of all the fun below.

Back in the Choir....

Well , I am back singing again. Been out of the choir now since before MK was born. Then we moved; but, we are settling in nicely at TBC and I wanted to serve and praise our Lord with song. So I joined the choir. Great people, great minister and great songs. We had a super rehearsal tonight and I just had to share some of the words from a song "our God Saves" that we will be singing on Sunday. "We will rise with You, lifted on Your wing, and the world will see that OUR GOD SAVES!!!! OUR GOD SAVES!!!!. There is hope in Your name. Mourning turns to songs of praise... OUR GOD SAVES!!!!
WOW, what awesome words. It's getting late here in GA so will talk later.

My little Ballerina

Mia Katheryn loves to watch her ballerina dance in her music/jewelry box everyday so I thought I would bring out the trunk of dress up clothes that our cousin gave us. She had so much fun and really wanted Bella to dress up and play with her too. Here are some of my favorite memories of the moment. Enjoy ,Kelly

A Day At The Pool....

What a fun day at the pool. Uncle Jimmy, Auntie, and our 3 boy cousins Eli , Ezra and Joshua and their mommies came over for the day. We played, swam, and had pizza. Boy am I tired. But we sure had a big time. Enjoy the pictures of MK enjoying her summer and her family.
We also went to "storytime" today at the Library, where MK is learning about Bugs. She made a ladybug, danced, and heard some cute stories about ladybugs. We are having a good week so far. We are looking forward to seeing Papa and Miss Sharon this weekend.

Great picnic!

Well it was lots of fun, great food and fellowship. It was hot but not too bad under the pavillion. All of the children didn't seem to mind at all. They had fun swinging, playing ball, and blowing bubbles. The desserts were divine. Thanks to all who cooked, cleaned and helped in any way. I have posted some pics below of our day at Dellinger park.
See yall tomorrow...

getting ready for a picnic....

I just had to show you our silly toddler helping us get ready for our SS picnic at the park. RLH brought it inside and the second he sat it down guess who went exploring. She is sooo silly these days from climbing in coolers, to wanting her Daddy to put shaving cream on her while he's shaving and giggling so loud to chasing bella around the house. We are having a good weekend so far. Off to the park... we'll post some more pics and details about our day later.
Have a great Saturday!

Happy June!!

Happy June! Well, Summer is almost here; feels like it anyway. It is hot and muggy in North GA today. Great church service and in SS we listened to a track from Master of the Way with Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. It was very good. Listen to it sometime or visit their website http://www.wayofthemaster.com/. We had a lunch/baby shower with SS class afterwards for LB. Please pray for our friends The Bush's and their baby. She is due on June 15th. Another girl that makes 6 girls now and one on the way. We only have one little boy in the group. Poor HCE! HA! Not by any surprise L announced she was expecting! My goodness wonder whose next?
MKH and her Daddy had fun playing at the playground today. I can really see me in some of these pics today. My mom used to fix my hair just like this. Until next time....
Here are some great words from Hebrews 13. Have a great week.

First trip to the Zoo....

OOH! WOW! WEE! AWW! CHOO! CHOO!
Well, those 6 words sums up our day at the Atlanta Zoo. MK had a blast and so did Daddy and Mommy. We met my cousin, his wife and little boy and babysitter this morning. We stayed all day and saw every animal except the tigers. Catch them next time. Mk loved the carousel ride, choo choo train, and sliding at the playground. She was a trooper. The weather was cool and overcast ( perfect Zoo weather) We had a picnic and then she napped for awhile and woke up ready to see the monkeys. She got to see the gorillas being fed, 2 kangaroos fighting and some brand new ducklings swim. What a day of memories! She and JAJ had a blast playing and sharing their Zoo day together. It was a fun day. I just love watching my little girl exploring her world. Oh, I forgot to post this last night when it happened; MK knelt down by her bed on her own for the first time Wed. night to say her prayers when we told her it was night night time. Praise God! The first fruits of our parenting labor. Thank you Jesus for our little miracle and thank YOU for allowing us time with her to teach her about YOU. I posted some photos for you to enjoy...

Memorial Day

Please pray for our Patriotic Armed Forces standing in harm’s way around the world on our behalf today, and for their families. Especially families of those fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, who gave their lives in defense of American liberty.
We had a beautiful service Sunday at church. Our Pastor really spoke from his heart. He has SUCH a burden for the lost; as we all should. He set a 1/6 goal for us... We are to witness to and invite one person to church who is either unchurched or unsaved within 6 months. Pray for me and Ritchie. In Matthew 28 there is the Great Commission He has set before us; so we should be following it every moment we are given the chance. I need to pray for that chance.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!
We went to the park. MKH had fun of course playing on the playground and watching the planes fly by. The pollen has gotten to her though. She has sneezed all day long. Need to go clean up after dinner.

Speechless...

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Ephesians 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; ...

I am just speechless (one of my favorite songs by SCC) today with the news of the passing of Maria. Maria was the 5 yr old adopted daughter of Steven Curits Chapman. SCC is very admired by our family and close friends the Paces. He started a charity called Shaohanna's Hope. This charity allowed many families to go and follow God's commandement to adopt. Steven has 3 biological children and adopted 3 little girls from China as well. My heart and prayers go out to this family. Our friends TRP and CDP followed God and traveled to China and brought home a precious blessing who they named after one of SCC's daughters. We love you SJP. Please hug your loved ones today. Just remember, Thank God for everyday he has given you and every moment he had allowed you to share with your loved ones. I love you RLH and I love you MK. MK you are my Miracle from God and I do thank Him for everyday he gives me with you.

Sincerely, KSH

Trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico May 2008

Well I am not sure I have a enough words or even space to tell you all just how much fun we had in Cabo. First of all, it was a trip of a lifetime. Thanks Gigi and Ppop. It was paradise. The weather was perfect. MKH is going to be our world traveler. She just loved the airplane. She looked out the window the whole trip. She finally gave out and fell asleep 30 minutes before we landed in Atlanta, only because it was dark. Ha! She got so exicited on the airport trains. She would laugh and say Coo Coo for Choo Choo of course. She loved the water and the sand! She was sooooo perfect. She had fun playing with her cousins too. RLH went fishing in the Sea of Cortez and caught a bunch of Mahi Mahi(that were delicious, by the way) and he also caught the Largest Marlin of the Season, a 200 something pound Marlin. Too big for the boat! Congrats RLH! He has the blisters to prove it;took him 1 hour and 40 mionutes to reel him in. Wow! We took an awesome boat ride out to Lovers beach this neat island and reef that seperates the sea of cortez from the Pacific Ocean. One of my favorite things was sitting on the sand on the island in awe of God's beautiful creation with Ritchie pondering what the first explorer's thought about this paradise on Earth. We had a great time. Hope to go back next year. Here are some of my favorite pictures. Enjoy.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day is just around the corner. Ours will be quite different this year. Out of the country, with mine, without Ritchie's mom, and praying to God to show me His will on whether or not I am to become a mother again. I am so content with my perfect angel He has already given me. Everynight when we say our prayers with MK I thank Him for another day with her. She brings such joy to our life. We are really seeking His will. This has been such a wild year full of lots of changes... So we covet your prayers to not only do His Will but if it is His Will for us to have more; WHEN? I hope all of you Moms out there have a Great Mother's Day and remember we have already been given the most precious gifts of all; our Children. They are a gift from ABOVE. I just hope MK grows up to love me half as much as I love mine. Happy Mother's Day Gigi.

Really bloggin

Hey everyone. I am so proud of myself. Today I amazed myself by finally completing my blog and signing up on Facebook. Woo hoo.
We are all fine here in Ga. RLH is busy with work and enjoying every minute of and boy am I busy parenting 7-5. The first year was a breeze for me. She was great sleeper, eater, etc. Now she is this busy, whiney, strong-willed angel from Toddler Heaven. Everynight I pray for parenting guidance. This discipline thing is really hard. But, I know we have to be consistent and patient. Pray for our flight to CSL with a busy 1 year old. We will have handy her M doodle and some of her fav. books. She is so into books. I hope we have a bookworm on our hands. Spring has arrived here in Cville and we spend lots of time outside. We are still househunting. Hopefully, we will be in one by Summer. Take care...

Just starting out...

Well here I go.... Blogging away. I feel like a celebrity or something. Hope you guys enjoy our posts and will comment often. I can't believe it is already February. I am just now getting used to it being 2008. I can't believe it, but I haven't written 2007 on a check one time this year. We are enjoying our new life in GA. MK will be happy when it is warmer so we can go to the park, swing, walk Bella, etc. The apt. life is ok. We have already started looking for a house though. Still not sure what area we want to be in Cartersville, Acworth, or Kennesaw??? Decisions, Decisions. Ritchie's mom came for a visit last week on the train and we all enjoyed her being here and she really had fun watching MK play in her room. She is really into books, winnie the pooh DVD, and riding her motorcycle( well Daddy has to push her on it down the hall) what a site. Ha! My mom is planning a visit around Valentines day and we can't wait to see our Gigi. TTFN ta ta for now. Ha! That's what Tigger says on MK's Pooh movie.
