Praise God
Good evening everyone. Whew I am tired, what a week.... but ended today with many praising GOD. My mom had her second surgery today and the Dr. did not find any more Cancer. The margins were all clear and it had not spread to the lymph nodes. WOO HOO! God IS Good All the Time.... He put a song of Praise in this heart of mine!!! Can't yall just here me singing?!? :)
My mom is for sure Praising her Savior Jesus Christ and she and I had the best time tonight sitting on the porch for hours ( in the 70' weather ) praying, reading scripture, and just praising God for everything He did today and has done in our lives. I am so thankful for these results we got today but more thankful that my mom and I will always be able to Praise God together whether on the porch or in Heaven. :) that..... I AM THANKFUL FOR! Thanks for all of your prayers. We will be traveling home tomorrow.
Special thanks to our great friends the Paces for their hospitality and love. We love yall and miss yall already.
Good night~ KSH

God truly spoke to me tonight....
It was sort of quiet around here this weekend, which was nice for a change. I had a lot of running around to do and just needed some "ME" time so I was gone all day Saturday while RLH and MK enjoyed some nice father/daughter time. They played so hard she did not even want me to finish reading to her and rocking her last night. She said "mommy me in my bed" and off to dream land she went. We had dinner with some friends at one of the great local restaurants in town-best steak besides my husbands :) ! And since MK went to bed so early RLH and I got to do some reading and have some alone time which was nice. We were reading II Thessalonians -great passages. The worship services and SS were great today! God truly spoke to me tonight....
The message was titled "Winning over Worry"....Luke 12:22-34 (DO NOT WORRY) out of my NIV Disciples Study Bible. I thought I would share some points or passages that really spoke to me.
*worrying can cause someone to become sick physically or mentally
*God says not to worry
*Worry = Sin
*Faith and Worry cannot coexist
*Worrying is different from Concern
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life" Luke 3:22 a
"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" Luke 3:25-26
The senselessness of worry=Worry is senseless because
-God values you
-God loves you
-worry changes nothing
-God will provide
-God knows your needs
Worrying is wrong in God's eyes; it can hinder your testimony and it is not characteristic of being Christlike
The solution for worry Luke 3:31-34
1. Put God First 2. Do not fear 3. Help other people (gets your mind off yourself) 4. Store treasure in Heaven
As a Christian I should have enough Faith that God is who He says He is and give all my troubles, baggage, and fears over to Him. This was my prayer tonight and I hope if anyone reading this are worry warts like me and have faith in Jesus Christ, You will STOP worrying.
With all this said; I need to share something with you. Remember a few weeks ago I spoke about life's "interruptions". Well I have been interrupted...My mom had a breast biopsy last week and the lump they removed was malignant(Cancer). She finds out all the details Monday afternoon. Please keep her in your prayers and me too. The distance between us will be hard for me. I love her dearly and she is handling the news quite well, Her Faith is strong and I know because she has told me she already feels God holding her hand through this and whatever this "interruption" may bring. I am praying for a miracle for her to be completely healed because He is still on the Throne and very capable of this. I do Pray for HIS WILL to be done in her life as well and HIM to be glorified through this "interruption" in our lives. I hope you all have a great week and I will keep you all posted on my mom. I love you Mom so much!!!!
Love in Christ,
KSH

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
Happy Valentines Day and Welcome Home "Daddy"!
We were all alone for a few days this past week, while RLH was
working in Miami, FL. MK and I watched movies and ate popcorn one night,
went shopping and her fav. part was sleeping with mommy. I enjoyed that too.
We would get in bed about 9 which is an hour past her normal bedtime, but
it was a slumber party ya know. HA! We would read , pray, and talk about Daddy.
She is great snuggler!!! We are happy RLH made it back safe and sound.
My aunt and uncle came over one night and brought MK a Valentine Happy and
some supper; it was a nice visit. I hope each of you are spending the day with
those you love and that you all have a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
And remember GOD IS LOVE (1 John 4)
there is evidence of God's love for us throughout the Bible here is one of my favs...
ahhhh how refreshing-the idea of God quieting me with HIS love
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."

enjoying the warm February weather...
It is so nice and warm here today; we decided to have a picnic on the screen porch and play outside. MK and Bella had so much fun. She was picking weeds and smelling them and saying"the fowers smell good"!!! She would share them with Bella too. :) I over heard her telling Bella to go inside" Bebba go inside, If you don't obey me , Get a spanking" I laughed so hard I almost cried. Kids are like little tape recorders. We are always saying "Mia Katheryn you need to obey Mommy and Daddy or you will have to get a spanking". We are hoping for an early spring over here in GA because it is great to burn off all that toddler energy outdoors.
till next time...enjoy the pics

great conference
I went to a Ladies Conference in Marietta,GA Friday and Saturday. It was the Going Beyond conference with Priscilla Shirer featuring Vicki Yohe. It was awesome. For those of you who have never heard PS speak or VY sing you are missing out. God really spoke to me this past weekend. We studied the book Jonah....Thank God HE gives all of us 2nd chances! PS also spoke about "interruptions" in our lives. You know those times when the unexpected happens, things are not going the way "WE" planned them , or when we have to go through trials. I learned we as believers should feel privileged or feel honored that GOD is "interrupting" our lives; we should feel this way b/c HIS plans are best for us and HE wants us to grow closer to HIM and lean on HIM and know that HE is in control. And also as a believer we need to continue to grow spiritually and we can do this as we have these"interruptions". She said we all have been interrupted, going through an interruption right now , or about to be interrupted. So get ready, stay ready, get in the WORD, Obey HIS WORD, and lean on Jesus Christ during these times. I am very thankful that I went and hope I keep these words remain fresh in my mind and heart.
Have a great week!
Have a great week!
waking up....
scripture for the week...
"He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God." John 8:47
This is an awesome passage from God's Word; I can't wait to dive into my study this week to hear what God is saying.

Goulash...YUM YUM
Goulash is a Hungarian dish, I believe, and can be prepared many different ways using many different types of meat. I will be sharing a recipe that I came up with by combining my mom's version and my mom - n- laws version and some ingredients of my own. The 2nd recipe I found online but haven't tried it yet, sounds just as easy and yummy as mine.
Kelly's Goulash
1lb ground chuck
1 can of diced tomatoes with celery, onion, bell pepper (Del Monte or Hunts)
1 can of tomato sauce
1/2 of sweet onion
elbow macaroni
1teaspoon of sugar
brown your meat -adding some garlic salt , black pepper, and onion cut in big pieces (these all give the meat a great taste) drain meat (save onions if you want or discard)
boil macaroni and drain
combine meat, tomatoes, tom. sauce and sugar and stir
cook on med heat for 15 minutes stirring occasionally and then add desired amount of macaroni
depending if you want it thick or soupy
cook on low for 10 more min
serve with cornbread and enjoy
add shredded mild cheddar if you would like
QUICK TEX-MEX GOULASH
1/2 lb. elbow macaroni
1 lb ground sirloin
1 small onion, finely diced
2 c. tomato juice
1 pkg McCormick's Taco Seasoning
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can sweet corn, drained
2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
sour cream
sliced black olives
chopped green onions
Prepare the macaroni according to the package instructions.
(Note: Do not rinse the noodles. The starch left on them helps bind the goulash so it doesn't get too runny.)
Saute the sirloin and onion in a skillet until the meat is brown and the onions become translucent.
Drain the fat off. Add tomato juice and the taco seasoning to the meat. Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 min.
In a large pot, combine the noodles, meat mixture, corn, beans, and shredded cheese. Allow this to simmer for about 20 minutes or until heated through and the cheese is melted. You may need to add up to a cup more of the tomato juice if it's too dry.
To serve: place a helping of goulash on a plate then garnish with sour cream, black olives, and green onions. It's nice to set the garnishes on the table as when serving tacos. Don't be afraid to use whatever garnishes you'd use on a taco. Some like green peppers, jalapenos, salsa, fresh diced tomatoes, crushed tortilla chips, cheddar cheese. Get creative!
This dish is so easy even someone a little intimidated with Tex-Mex cooking can really shine and look like a pro!
Enjoy~Kelly

She is such a special little girl and I hope she knows just how much her sissy cares and prays for her. Scripture for the week...
Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him John 14:21
This is the scripture I am meditating on this week and the truth that God desires a close, obedient loving relationship with me.
Good night all.

weekend with my sis, neices, and gigi ...
My sister, Jessica and her girls and my mom(Gigi) came over last Thursday and stayed till Sunday. Jessica and I took Jillian to snow mountain on Friday. We had a blast. We went tubing, sledding, a built a snowman. We were celebrating Jilli turning 6 this week. I can't believe she is going to be that old. Afterwards we went to dinner at Bahama Breeze. It was delicious and the cake was out of this world. Jordan and MK had a cold so they stayed at home with RLH and Gigi. They had fun too playing (destroying) in the playroom. HA! It was fun watching them interact and NOT wanting to share. Oh well, that is the twos for ya. We went shopping all day Saturday! Ritchie cooked an unbelievable meal Sat evening. I swear he should have been a chef!! We went to church yesterday. Great message-true Christian Fellowship-Ephesians 2:11-22. We couldn't go to church as a family which was not so nice, RLH went to first service and I went to 2nd service, MK had to stay home due to another ear infection. She is scheduled to have tubes in March. Please keep her in your prayers and us we DO NOT want her to have to be put to sleep. It's hard being a parent sometimes, but I know that's part of it. We have been very blessed with our little miracle. She is so healthy and we thank God everyday for her. Some of my friends are going thru such trials right now with their little girls. I am praying that God heals their babies and that these mommies and daddies find strength , peace, and comfort through Jesus Christ and that GOD ultimately will be Glorified! Please pray for Harper, 2 week old, underwent heart surgery last week and please pray for Anna Beth, 3,underwent surgery to remove kidney with cancer and having to undergo chemo soon. I know God is the Great Physician and that HE is good all the time.
It's rainy here today.... good day for laundry and doing taxes. Hope you all have a great week.
hope you enjoy the pics
