this week....

sorry I haven't been posting my weekly bible study verses lately. Unfortunately, I only have 2 weeks left. This has been an awesome 3 months. I have grown closer to my God, a group of wonderful ladies and am very thankful to our facilitator KL. She is an awesome Godly woman, whom I admire. We got to experience an awesome God moment with her this past week. Her son was saved and baptised this past Sunday night! PRAISE GOD!
We are learning about KOINONIA this week. Koinonia, a Greek word, is most frequently translated fellowship. "Koinonia, or intimate fellowship, in the church is based on personal koinonia with GOD and individual believers. Koinonia with GOD only comes from a real, personal encounter with the living Christ and surrender to Him as the absolute Lord of your life. God pursues that kind of a relationship with me and you." Henry Blackaby
My verse for the week is out of 1 John 1:7
"If we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of JESUS, His Son, purifies us from all sin."
Wow!!!!
As I am typing this I am listening to an awesome song by Aaron Shust, "My Savior, My GOD"
what great words and what an awesome song to have in the background as I am worshipping my God right now. I love my Savior, My God!!!!
Hope this touches you like it has touched me. Have a good day.
Love, Kelly

Pictures from our Fun Weekend

busy weekend...

Happy Monday! We had a very fun and busy weekend. Friday night RLH and I set sail on the "Love Liner" Dinner Theatre at our church. We had lots of fun and the dinner was delicious. RLH laughed all night at the comical actors. It was to raise money for our Mission team that are headed to Zambia in June. Keep them in your prayers....hoping to lead this area to Christ who already "claim" to be Christians; may be difficult. Saturday after the bad weather passed, I headed to B'ham to meet Jessica and Jillian. Jilly had her 1st dance competition. She did great, lots of rhythm. Guess she got it from her Sissy :) They won overall in her age division. We had fun visiting with each other and I ate at the Cheesecake Factory for the first time YUM! MK and her Daddy played in the mud Saturday and grilled out. He did a great job getting her ready and made it on time for SS and church Sunday. Way to go DADDY!!! I made it back around 2ish Sunday. Just in time to turn around and head back to church. We had a nice dinner for anyone who had joined the church this past year. The service was just wonderful last night. It was a great sermon...."On the way to the Cross" Luke 22 :39-46. It was all about Jesus in the Garden His powerful prayer, the powerful struggle, and the powerful Victory! Our Christ did die for all of us... and Our JESUS IS ALIVE today. I just love the Easter season. It is a great reminder of how unworthy I am and just how grateful I am to have a Living Savior who loves me.
I can't believe that March is about over. I will post some pics from our weekend and hope you all have a great week.

out and about in the sunshine

Hi....

Hi~just wanted to say Hi.....kinda bored had 2 Sunny days that were very full. Lots of outdoor time and now it's raining cats and dogs. We need it though....especially all of the allergy sufferers. MK and RLH have been sneezing so much. I really hate it for them and wish my hugs and kisses worked. Really getting back in the groove with my walking and working out now if I can just start running I will be doing good! Really want to give it a try this Spring...running that is. I have a great coach and motivator RLH and AMC. So, we'll see. I would love for us to run in a race this summer. MK would love cheering her mommy and daddy on!!!!
My bible study is really good this week.... God's Will for the Church. Romans 12
We have a date Friday nite....woo hoo! We are going on a cruise, not really, but sort of. Ha! Our church is having a fund raiser for missions and its "Dinner Theatre" (The Love Liner) no not the Love Boat; but close enough. Ha! We are really looking forward to it. I will tell you about it next week and hope to have some pics as well.
We are hoping to see Gigi 1st of April. We are really missing her and vice versa. She and Ppop are relaxing for 2 weeks in Cabo San Lucas , Mexico and they are having a blast. Mom needed some "her" time. She goes to the Oncologist on April 2nd....will find out what her next step is in fighting BC. Keep her in your prayers. Our God is Good....all the time!
Well I need to go now. Have a great week and hope you don't get washed away with all this pollen. :)

what a fun week!!!!

the sun finally came out on Tuesday and out we went....We went to the park, walked, and played baseball in the backyard. I decided Monday to take the paci away. WHEWWWW ...glad today is Friday. It was harder on me than MK, I think?!? She cried the first two nights & the first two naps and I cried with her. Tough love and this is only the beginning. She would only suck her paci while in her bed or sleeping in the car on road trips; but I knew we had to give it up sometime. I didn't want the dentist to be the one to warn me. I took her to Wal-Mart and let her pick out any toy for giving up the paci...she chose a violet blue baseball glove and ball. Ritchie was so excited!!! She loves watching him play softball and she always wants to do everything he is doing. She is really doing good on the potty training too! She has been wearing big girl panties since Jan. and for the past two Sundays she has used the potty at church, she used it in a store this week & at the park too! She really likes wearing her Dora and Heart panties. One good part about it is we have saved some money over the past 3 months; No diapers!!!!
I went to an event last night at church for the ladies. It was called"Ladies University", and it was great. Great food and fellowship, fellowship with great gals and our LORD. My fav class was titled "Extreme Worship: That I Main Gain Christ". It was led by an awesome Godly woman; so mature in her faith yet so young in years. She is only in her mid 2o's and has such a moving testimony. God really spoke to me through her. Thanks Beth for your faith and time! We studied about Suffering out of I Peter 4:12-19. In my Bible the title of these few chapters is: Suffering for Being a Christian
I could sit here all night and share what God showed me last night from His Word.
But I will just post some of my favs that Beth shared last night:
"Suffering is a REALITY ; it is INEVITABLE for Christians"
"It is PAINFUL yet NECESSARY"
"But Suffering produces REJOICING
Our sufferings are HIS sufferings, the same kind for the same cause (also read Colossians 1:24)
Suffering brings REWARDS such as being PURIFIED and becoming more CHRISTLIKE
WE GAIN CHRIST AND HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM!" (Philippians 3:7-10)
God wants authenticity; worshipping HIM through sufferings produces some good "GOD stuff"
I also had an awesome first day of Spring today in my Bible Study...Obedience
hmmmm He is teaching me so much just like I am teaching my daughter so much. I thank God for second chances and I pray I can be the obedient daughter HE wants me to be. I long for MK to be an obedient child of mine and HIS too! I am really learning so much from her as I show her mercy and forgiveness every time she disobeys me. She is so quick to say I am sorry, I am always quick to forgive her but the hard part is making sure that...there are those consequences. God is so patient with me and always has been.....I pray as I teach MK things I can be as patient with her.
Sorry for such a long post but it was such an awesome week.
Today is the first day of Spring and we are looking forward to some family time tomorrow. Will post later on next week. HAPPY SPRING!!!!

what a fun week!!!!

rain, rain go away....

well there's not much to say or anything new to post from over here in GA. Just a bunch of rainy, lazy days. We are looking forward to some warmer weather and the sun coming out later Tuesday and hopefully staying out the rest of the week. I need to start walking again and MK is ready to play outside. Bella is even ready for the rain to stop... HA! Ritchie is in Miami for a couple of days so slumber party for me and my girl tonight :) She is excited about some "copcorn" tonight! We had a great day at church yesterday...Great messages! Last night our pastor preached on the "End of Time" look for the signs (II Timothy 3:1-9)
I posted some photos of MK all dressed up for church. She got to wear her "big Girl" necklace for the first time. Aunt Jolie gave it to her when she was dedicated. She loved wearing it and showed it off to everyone"look at my heart necklace" she said. Have a great week!
Later, KSH

Beautiful day!

We had a great time today....enjoying the warm Springlike weather, drawing with sidewalk chalk and laying on a blanket watching the beautiful birds and clouds. MK liked watching the clouds float by. Thank you God for today and the time I had to spend it with my little girl

what is your cup full of???????

as I told you yesterday I went to a Ladies conference at a local Baptist church . The guest speaker was Angela Thomas. I loved all of her messages. One of them was on a new look at the Beatitudes....
Matthew 5
The Beatitudes 1Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2and he began to teach them saying:

3"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The "When you ares" ... for example "when you are" hungry and thirsty (Matt 5:6) you should come to the hillside where Jesus is waiting and have HIM fill your cup
When your cup is empty...He is essentially the only one who can fill it...He can make you whole...
not the love of your spouse, nor the love of your children, nothing but the love of Jesus can make you whole. A.T. says to let those people off the hook. It will help you in the long run. Oh what truthful words.
If you get this.....it can change your life. It is mine!!!
One other point that I took from the conf. yesterday was to not only to let Jesus be the one to fill your cup but let "it" your cup (your heart, mind, and body) be so full that....for example...when you walk into a room you are "sloshing" water out ( sloshing Jesus out). You and I need HIM and so does everyone else. In this world life will take your breath away and you are going to need you some JESUS and a lot of HIM.
I hope you all are having a great Sunday....we have so far. We are having a children's musical tonight at church and are going to let MK come and watch with us in "big church".
Have a great week!
till next time...

strawberry shortcake

who'd a thunk (spelling) that my daughter would be falling in love with Strawberry Shortcake.
She was one of my favs as a child.....from the berry scented figurines, doll, sleeping bag, lunchbox, knee socks, etc. I had it all! I loved strawberry shortcake. While we were visiting our friends last week SJ introduced MK to "stwawbewee kork cake" as MK calls it. She now has 2 S.S. DVDs they are sweet and not as loud and redundant as Dora. We needed a rest from her. But soon and very soon we are going to have a 6 month rest from all DVDs . Warm weather is a coming!!!! Woo Hoo and MK is going be outside in our new Big backyard. I want her to need a bath at night Ha!
Chat later....

awesome song....

I wanted to share this wonderful song with you
this is an awesome song by Mark Harris with awesome lyrics....I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and added it to my playlist on my blog. It is about 3 yrs old. But I am never in my car long enough to listen to the radio. I just had to share this with all of you parents. Wow! what a responsibility we have to our children yet what a humbling priviledge. I thank God he has given me the chance to raise a child and I pray every night for her salvation. Hope you enjoy....you can listen to it by clicking on it down below. FIND YOUR WINGS BY MARK HARRIS
It's only for a moment
That you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to knowYou're walking in the truth
And if I've never told youI want you to know thatAs I watch you growI pray that God will fill your heart with dreams And that faith gives you the courage To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind that moves You through your days And may convictions keep you strong Guide you on your way May there be many moments That make your life so sweet But more then memories I pray that God will fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wingsI t's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off But I'll cheer you as you fly I will give you roots
and help you find your wings
I haven't posted in awhile because I have had a stomach bug since Sunday night ughhh ....Hoping to feel better tomorrow
It is supposed to be in the 60' Thursday and 70's Fri-Sun
I am going to open up the windows , send MK outside and try to get all the germs out of my house
Have a good week!
