What a beautiful day we have been blessed with. I am so thankful to live in North Georgia where there is so much of GOD's creation to enjoy outdoors. We went over to Rome, GA and had a picnic and got some exercise. MK had her first bike ride with friends. She is getting so big and did pretty well keeping up :) Thank you God for days like today to remind me of your Sovereinty, your majesty and your provisions of life, sun, friends and children. Bless GOD for today!
Till next time, KSH

It was such a beautiful day ...thank you GOD!
We headed over to Ridge Ferry Park in Rome
and had a picnic, played football, rode bikes
walked, and played on the playground.
We all really enjoyed ourselves and baby
Abigail hung right in there. :)
If you live anywhere near Rome, GA
you should get your tennis shoes and /or bike
and hit the trails .

maybe next weekend....
Well, our weekend did not go as we planned. Abigail is a little sick....cold I guess. She didn't rest well at all Friday, slept almost all day Saturday and has the runniest nose :(. Therefore, we did not make our Aquarium outing Sat. MK and her daddy worked and played outside all day while the baby and I stayed cooped up inside Saturday and Sunday morning while MK and RLH went to church. I did watch it via web (so thankful for this provision) and it was a great lesson out of Judges 13 -How to become a spiritual champion...and it's not by eating your Wheaties :). I am hoping to get a run/walk in later today. I am thankful today for one of my favorite promises in the GOD's true and living word...
Lamentations 3:22-23
The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning
and the most beautiful words in an old hymn " MORNING BY MORNING NEW MERCIES I SEE..."

I SPY....
FYI ....all fellow mommies out there these are the best books and they are perfect for those long waits at the Dr.'s office or anywhere. It saved us recently. We read most of the book without my 4 year old losing her patience once! Thanks Miss Abby and Aunt Sandra :)
some blessed days....
I just wanted to share this encouraging word.....BLESS GOD TODAY!
Speaking of blessings....we have really been blessed with some warmer temps and sunny days. We have taken advantage of them this week. We got the stroller out this week for the first time since October. I took MK to play at the park with friends a couple of days. I attempted a run (off of the treadmill) on Tuesday ....it didn't go that well but I ran/walked fast for 30 minutes. I got soooo sunburned today while reading and watching MK play " spy" out in the backyard . Tonight at bedtime she turned over and said "mommy you are hot and look like Olivia (the pig ) did when she went to the beach" :) . You have to have read the book to understand hee hee.
We really enjoyed a short visit with some of our friends last night. I call them our soul mate friends. We met them and hit it off from the start and use to dream and pray the same things re: our children, their rearing etc. and now we are living out those dreams , BLESS GOD! As usual the boys and the girls chatted all night over some gourmet coffee. We love us some Cooley's and hope to see them again soon.
Abigail is really sitting up good now so we let the sisters take their first bubble bath together they LOVED it and so did mommy and daddy watching them splash and grin at each other. BLESS GOD!
Well that's all for this week probably....we head to the GA Aquarium Saturday, so I will tell you all about it next week and I am sure post some pics too!
Here are some random shots from our week....enjoy
Psalm 103
Of David.
1 Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6 The LORD works righteousness
and justice for all the oppressed.

and it's only been a week....
WOW WHAT A WEEK! and it's only been a week...but a lot has happened. First off sweet Abigail who sleeps about 11-12 hours all night started crying last Monday about 11 pm and didn't stop for hours. I knew something was wrong but not sure what. She wasn't running a fever. She had cut two teeth a few days before and had had a runny nose for a few days. So off we went to the Dr. She had a left ear infection. So, she had her first teeth, first sickness and first round of antibiotics at 7.5months old :( . Her big sis was almost 1 year and half before first antibiotics. OH well, thank GOD she is all better now and has been sleeping, playing, and eating fine ever since. Oh and my preemie ha ha weighed 17 lbs last week. Wednesday came and so did my mom. Yes Gigi came for a nice visit to play with her GA peaches and keep them so Rdog & I could have a Valentine's getaway; our first overnight stay since right before I got pregnant with ABH. Thanks so much Gigi for loving on my girls. Hope you make it home safe today, we miss you already. Thursday MK had ballet and her 4 yr checkup. She is a very healthy little girl . Praise be to GOD! She was in the 56 percentile for both height and weight she was 41.5"tall and is so big now weighing in at 36lbs. Unfortunately she had to get 5 yes 5 shots
:*( the normal amount for this age is 3 but GA was out of one back in 2007 and she had to get 2nd half of her flu vaccine. She was brave but very afraid and screamed soooo loud. My heart was breaking. I had told her we would get her a toy from walmart afterwards but she kept saying she couldn't walk because legs were so sore. I can't imagine. Bless her heart; so, I carried her in the store and she was so brave she tried to walk the soreness out and she did all the way back to the DVD section and picked out Veggietales "Happy Together" a really great movie btw. She slept through the night fine with help of someTylenol. She was a little sore Friday but I encouraged her to get up and get moving and she would feel better. She and GIGI went to Waffle House for breakfast ha! Afterwards, we went to a sweet Valentine's Party. Sweet children, great group of Godly mommies, precious devotion, yummy sweets and lots of exchanged Valentines. She said she had a super duper time and her legs were feeling better :). Friday night we had a nice time at our SS class social while mom kept the baby and MK had movie/popcorn night at church. Thanks to all the TBC volunteers , I hope we raised lots of $ for missions. Finally the long awaited day arrived Saturday the beginning of our 24 hour getaway to Hotlanta! Rdog planned a fantastic and romantic night. Lots of yummy food, relaxation, and alone time. We had an awesome time. I do have to give you one detail....we worked out together at the gym at the hotel together which I loved doing btw and I ran my longest since ABH 20 straight minutes woo hoo ! I was very proud :) Can't you tell?!? whew you tired yet and it's only been a week...
I want to wish my man a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! it's our 16th one together. I love him more today than ever! I want to wish my girls a Happy Heart Day too! I love you both to the moon and back. I hope you have a blessed day with your loved ones. I am thankful for mine and all the love they give me especially the everlasting love from my Saviour JESUS CHRIST.
I know this has been a long post but I want to leave you with a sermon I came across this morning ...

Everlasting Love
God is in love with you!
The LORD God says to every Christian believer, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, with loving-kindness have I draw you” (Jeremiah 31:3).
Those words are a great encouragement for every believer. God’s love for you is an eternal love. It is filled with unfailing care and mercy. He does not say, “I will love you,” but “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
In New Testament terms the apostle John states the same wonderful truth. “We love, because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
How do we know such an awesome fact is true? “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for my sins” (v. 10). There has never been a time, or even a moment, when He did not love you.
Nothing but the love of God could accomplish such an amazing feat. He loved us and sent His son to be the “propitiation for our sins.” God’s holiness is satisfied, and His wrath is turned away from us because of what Jesus did for us on our behalf. God’s justice has now been satisfied because His perfect, sinless Son paid our debt in full.
God’s wrath is a settled, controlled, holy, antagonism against all sin. The Law says, “The soul that sins shall die!” “The wages of sin is death.” But a righteous and just God intervened in His sovereign grace. “By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him” (1 John 4:9). “And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life” (5:11, 12).
God keeps saying over and over again to us, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” I love you and I have demonstrated that love once and forever in the death of My Son on your behalf.
The Holy Spirit spreads abroad through the heart this amazing love of God which is given to us and then we love Him with all our heart.
We never understand God’s love for us until He appears to us in that demonstration of His grace. By nature we are dead to the presence of God. We are in no condition to apprehend His love until God reveals Himself. We cannot see God and His love until God the Holy Spirit removes the scales off our spiritual eyes. Our heart is dead to any movement of God’s grace until the Holy Spirit changes us. Our conversion or new birth is the work of the Spirit. It is a divine operation. Man cannot do it. True knowledge of the love of God is a divine work.
God says to us, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.”
Does your heart swell up with gratitude of a million, “Thank you”? God says, “I have drawn you with lovingkindness.” His arms are always outstretched and reaching down to us even when we were spiritually dead and unaware of it. It is always a mighty act of grace when He comes to the confessing, believing, repenting, trusting sinner. “Oh, to grace, how great a debtor!” His love and grace is patient with us.
“No one can come to Me,” Jesus said, “unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day” (John 6:44).
Jesus said, “All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out” (John 6:37). God always finishes what He begins. Our salvation is no exception. His everlasting love will see us through to the end. “All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me,” and with a double negative in the original language He says, “I will certainly not [no, never] cast out.” That everlasting love gives us confidence and assurance of eternal life with Him in heaven.
"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me . . .” Have you come? Will you come to Him right now? With open arms His everlasting love pleads, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believers has eternal life. I am the bread of life” (John 6:47-48).

love yourself....
Hello there! Happy February! The month of LOVE! I am doing a wonderful bible study at the moment “Wisdom for Mothers” and this week is on LOVE myself as Christ does so I can love others as I love myself. If you haven’t ever done this study it is AWESOME well God’s word is awesome and Denise Glenn has put together some awesome scripture to give us some GODLY wisdom on being the women and mommies GOD intends us to be. I encourage you to complete this study alone or with a small group of ladies.
Here are some verses and quotes from the study I want to share:
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue Proverbs 31:26
Look around you and be depressed
Look inside you and be distressed
Look to JESUS and be at rest!
“Love your neighbor As you love yourself” Love myself? That doesn’t sound spiritual at all. However, when we don’t love ourselves in a healthy, holy way,
All other relationships begin from the wrong starting point….
Ephesians 1:18 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people
I pray that my old ways of how I think about myself will be changed and I can love myself the way GOD intends me to, so I can love my husband, children, and others in a CHRIST like manner. This is my prayer for you fellow ladies too if you are struggling with this.
God is really trying to get through to me on this….because as I said earlier this was this week’s lesson, my devotion one day this week was
Defining Your Personal Value
"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." Romans 12:3
Do you try to be the best or do you simply try to do your best? The perfectionist has to be the best. He has to be #1. He can't accept himself.
The grace of God exalts a man without inflating him, and it humbles a man without debasing him. The person who strives for excellence says, "I am what I am by the grace of God."
Do you value yourself by what you do or by what you are? You have a choice. You can either choose to see yourself as God sees you, or you can choose to see yourself as the world sees you. Whose opinion will you listen to today?
Is there someone in your life whose opinion matters deeply to you? Instead of defining who you are by their opinions, measure yourself by God's standard in His Word
And one other way He is teaching me this lesson is through an adorable wise Veggietales movie that Mia Katheryn got from a sweet friend a week ago Sweet Pea Beauty and the main 2 verses in it are
1 Samuel 16:7b
The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. (NIV)
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised Proverbs 31:30
Well I hope you enjoy this post and speaking of LOVE I am so excited about this upcoming weekend… me and my man are having our first over night date since the Fall of 2009 , due to business, pregnancy, newborn and now I am ready ! My mom is coming to stay with the girls. Please pray for everything to work out and we come back closer and rested!
Love in Christ,
Kelly

sitting up....7 months old 1 wk
Abigail started sitting up on her own this past week....she's not real sturdy but getting there. However, she is sitting up well enough for her 1st big girl bath :). She was very unsure of all the bubbles and water, but after a little awhile we got her to smile and play with a boat. I just had to share this milestone in baby Abigail Baines' life.

Happy Birthday Jillian Rae Lewis
8 years ago today God gave my sister and our family a wonderful gift from above....Jillian Rae Lewis. I remember the day my sister called me quite well. I was sitting on my front door steps of our first house on Grandview Ave in Meridian MS about to go for a walk and my phone rang...I believe it was the first of June 2002. I know it was hard for my sister to share her exciting and surprising news with me because RL and I had been trying for 2 years to have a baby. I did shed a few tears, however God truly gave me strength during the phone call and this is only JESUS but this was one pregnancy that did not bother me like the others did during our trial of infertility. I truly saw God's hand in it....if I had already had my own children I could not have been there for my sister and Jillian in the days and years to come. The next nine months and 1st few years of Jillian's life were very trying to say the least....but GOD got my family through it! PRAISE THE LORD! My sister has a beautiful 8 year old today who is alot like her sissy "ME" in that she is very sensitive, in tune with others feelings, and a homebody :) . I cherish all the memories I have made with her especially those first 2 years of her life that we spent while we lived in Mdn. with her. One of my favorites was her eating supper with us and boy could she eat :) and still can and Uncle Ritchie came home with Little Caesars Pizza and she tried some and loved it after I had fed her her baby food. Her tummy looked as if it were going to pop :) and afterwards we bathed her and loved on her till her mommy came to get her. She was a very happy baby and she and my MK are alot alike very friendly, loving, good eating, messy children :) I love Jillian with all my heart. She will always have a special place in my heart right next to my own children that I now have PRAISE BE TO GOD! and Praise be to GOD for his PERFECT TIMING. I hope you have a wonderful 8th birthday Jillian and I pray for you and that one day you will have another kind of birthday one where you are born again .....I love you , You are beautiful and special. Don't ever forget that! HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM GEORGIA
Love, Sissy
