we hiked the Pine Log Creek Trail System including the beautiful Quarry trail this morn it was 5 miles total and took about 2hrs up and down the foothills of the Appalachian mtns. We loved it, it was so beautiful. It was a great workout too! It was not only beautiful but peaceful with the sounds of bugs, birds and rolling creeks....mk even fell asleep for about 30 min. We have been laughing all day about some of the things she said today....quoted some bible verses from Genesis, said great hike daddy, go fast daddy, duck daddy there 's a big tree, I gotta poopie about 3 times (ha! but luckily she didn't ) , I am hungry and finally "me had fun Hiking". Gotta love it! We took some awesome pictures today too! After our hike we went letterboxing again. She is now officially "cupcake girl" that's her codename( she has a cupcake stamp with purple ink of course) ha! She got 2 new ones today while walking through an old confederate cemetery and old Indian road once visited by Desoto cool history lesson indeed! After ALL that we had some watermelon from White GA and went swimming! We are pooped, needless to say. We are excited about teaching our new SS class tomorrow. We have 9 yrold boys and girls :) Hope you all have a great Sunday and new week!

This is our favorite trail! We enjoy going each season to see how the mountains celebrate the changes. You're brave to go in August though (snakes, heat, snakes)! I'm glad you guys had a good time.
I see you chose the cute monkeys too! I feel like it suits our family on MANY days...haha! I hope you are having a great week and wish you a wonderful Labor Day holiday.
